NET/SET :

A . NET: The National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and Colleges, including law. Till recently, the CBSE conducted the NET in 84 subjects at 91 selected Cities of spread across the country. It aims to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in teaching professions and research. On behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC), the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts this test.
B . SET: State Eligibility Test (SET) is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and Colleges, including law in Maharashtra. According to the UGC guidelines, the government of Maharashtra nominated Savitribai Phule Pune University as the state agency for conducting the State Eligibility Test (SET).
